Castel Sant'Angelo, Roma

It is also known as the Mausoleum of Hadrian because it was initially commissioned  by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for him and his family. Later on, the building was used by the popes as a fortress and a castle and is now a museum. It was built between 135 AD and 139 AD.
