King Ferdinand's Library in Cotroceni National Museum, Bucharest

The library was King Ferdinand's favourite room. The ensemble is made of elm wood in the Henric II style.

In 1893, the Cotroceni Palace was founded by Serban Cantacuzino. It was home to King Carol I, who made important changes in its architecture. In the late 19th century, a partial demolition of the palace was ordered, which would be later reconstructed by French architect Paul Gottereau. In 1977, the palace was transformed into a guesthouse, and also ordered to build an additional wing.
