La Casa Rosada, Buenos Aires


La Casa Rosada is the executive mansion and office of the President of Argentina. The palatial mansion is known officially as Casa de Gobierno, which means "House of Government". Normally, the President lives at the Quinta de Olivos, the official residence of the President of Argentina. The characteristic color of the Casa Rosada is baby pink, and is considered one of the most emblematic buildings in Buenos Aires.

La Bombonera, La Boca-Buenos Aires


The Estadio Alberto J. Armando is a stadium located in La Boca district of Buenos Aires. Widely known as La Bombonera due to its shape, with a "flat" stand on one side of the pitch and three steep stands round the rest of the stadium. It has a capacity of 49,000. The stadium is owned by Boca Juniors, one of Argentina's most famous football clubs. The unusual shape of the stadium has led to it having excellent acoustics and the Boca support being nicknamed "La Doce" (The 12th man).

Rosario-Victoria Bridge


Rosario-Victoria Bridge is the informal name of the physical connection between the Argentine cities of Rosario (province of Santa Fe) and Victoria (province of Entre Ríos). This roadlink is composed of several bridges, viaducts and earth-filled sections. It crosses the main course of the Paraná River and touches down on several islands of the Paraná Delta in the way. The link between the two cities spans a total of 59.4 kilometers. The total length of the various bridges and their viaducts is 12.2 km. The official name of the main bridge is Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Our Lady of Rosario).

The National Flag Memorial, Rosario



Is a monumental complex built near the banks of the Paraná River. It was inaugurated on June 20, 1957 - the anniversary of the death of Manuel Belgrano, creator of the Argentine flag, who raised it for the first time on an island in the river on February 27, 1812. The Memorial has three parts: the Tower which commemorates the Revolution of May 1810 and houses Manuel Belgrano's crypt in its base; the Civic Courtyard which symbolizes the effort of the organization of the state and the Triumphal Propylaeum, representing the nation as organized after the 1853 Constitution. Under the Propylaeum there is the Honor Room for the Flags of America (where the flags of all American nations are displayed).
