Huerquehue National Park, Araucania


Huerquehue National Park is located in the Andes, in the Araucania Region. It can be observed here one of the most noteworthy features of the Park - its millenarian forests of Araucarias, called also Monkey-Puzzle Trees or Monkey Tail Trees, which are evergreen trees growing to 40 meters tall and having a 2 meters trunk diameter.

Valparaiso


Valparaiso is a city in Chile and one of the country's most important seaports. It was nicknamed “The Jewel of the Pacific”and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003, based upon its improvised urban design and unique architecture.

Rapa Nui (Easter Island)


Rapa Nui (Easter Island) is a Polynesian island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean and it is also a  special territory of Chile, annexed in 1888. Easter Island is famous for its 887 extant monumental statues, called moai. The whole Rapa Nui National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Easter Island is claimed to be the most remote inhabited island in the world.The present postcard reveals the stone giants of Ahu Tongariki.

Angelmo


Angelmó is a small bay in Puerto Montt, in front of the Tenglo island. It appeared as a harbour at the end of the 19th century.  It is said the name comes from the deformation of the name "Ángel Montt", a doctor who lived in the area. However, there is no official record.
