Vienna

Is the capital and largest city of Austria and one of the nine states of Austria. Vienna is Austria's primary city and the 9th-largest city by population in the European Union. In 2001, the city centre was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Apart from being regarded as the City of Music because of its musical legacy, Vienna is also said to be "The City of Dreams" because it was home to the world's first psycho-analyst Sigmund Freud.

Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna

Is a former imperial 1,441-room Rococo summer residence in modern Vienna, Austria. One of the most important cultural monuments in the country, since the 1960s it has been one of the major tourist attractions in Vienna. 

In the year 1569, Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian II purchased a large floodplain of the Wien river beneath a hill, situated between Meidling and Hietzing, where a former owner, in 1548, had erected a mansion called Katterburg. The name Schönbrunn (meaning "beautiful spring"), has its roots in an artesian well from which water was consumed by the court.

Rathaus, Vienna

The Rathaus is a building in Vienna which serves as the seat both of the mayor and city council of the city of Vienna. The town hall also serves, in personal union, as Governor and Assembly (Landtag) of the State of Vienna, a state with the Austrian federal system. It was designed by Friedrich von Schmidt in the Gothic style, and built between 1872 and 1883.

Salzburg

Is the fourth-largest city in Austria. Salzburg's "Old Town" has internationally renowned baroque architecture and one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city is noted for its Alpine setting. Salzburg was the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Stubaital, Tirol

The Stubaital is an alpine valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is the central valley of the Stubai Alps. The Ruetz river flows through the valley.

Mariazell Basilica

The most important pilgrimage destination in Austria and one of the most visited shrines in Europe.

Stephansdom, Wien

Founded in 1137, the partially-constructed Romanesque church was dedicated in 1147 to St. Stephen. The first structure was completed in 1160, but major reconstruction and expansion lasted until 1511.
