Rome is the capital of Italy. Rome's history spans more than two and a half thousand years, since its legendary founding in 753 BC. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe. In the ancient world it was successively the capital city of the Roman Kingdom, the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire, and is regarded as one of the birthplaces of western civilization.

San Vito lo Capo, Sicilia
San Vito lo Capo a town and comune in North-Western Sicily. It is located in a valley between spectacular mountains, and is home to a public beach popular with local vacationers. The town's primary industries are tourism and agriculture, particularly olive groves owned by small farmers.
Palermo
Palermo is a city in Insular Italy, the capital of both the autonomous region of Sicily. The city is noted for its history, culture, architecture and gastronomy, playing an important role throughout much of its existence; it is over 2,700 years old. The city was founded in 734 BC by the Phoenicians as Ziz. The present name is derived from the Greek Panoremus meaning 'always fit for landing in'.
Iseo Lake, Bergamo
Is the fourth largest lake in Lombardy, Italy, fed by the Oglio river. It is in the north of the country in the Val Camonica area, near the cities of Brescia and Bergamo. The lake is almost equally divided between the Provinces of Bergamo and Brescia. In the middle of the lake is Monte Isola.
Mount Etna's eruption
It is the tallest active volcano in Europe,
currently standing 3,329 m high, though this varies with
summit eruptions. Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and is in an almost constant state of activity. Volcanic activity first took place at Etna about half a million years
ago, with eruptions occurring beneath the sea off the ancient coastline
of Sicily. The latest eruptions took place in February 2013.
Taormina
Is a comune and small town on the east coast of the island of Sicily,
in the Province of Messina. Taormina has been a very popular tourist
destination since the 19th century. Taormina's area was inhabited by the
Siculi even before the Greeks arrived on the Sicilian coast in 734BC to
found a town called Naxos. The theory that Tauromenion was founded by
colonists from Naxos is confirmed by Strabo and other ancient writers.

of Greek, rather than Roman theatres.
Lake Como, Lombardia
Lake Como is a lake of glacial origin in Lombardy, Italy. It has an area of 146 km², making it the third largest lake in Italy, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore. It has been a popular retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people since Roman times, and a very popular tourist attraction with many artistic and cultural gems. Many celebrities have or had homes on the shores of Lake Como, as it is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy.
San Gimignano
Is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany. It is mainly famous for its medieval architecture, especially its towers, which may be seen from several kilometres outside the town. San Gimignano was founded as a small village in the 3rd century BC by the Etruscans. Historical records begin in the 10th century, when it adopted the name of the bishop Saint Geminianus, who had defended it from Attila's Huns.
Tuscania
According to the legend, Tuscania was founded by Aeneas's son, Ascanius where he had found 12 dog pups. Evidence of human presence in the area dates back from the Neolithic age, but probably the city was built around the 7th century BC when the acropolis on St. Peter Hill was surrounded by a line of walls.

Ruffo Castle, Scilla - Calabria
Ruffo Castle is a fortress built around 400 BC located in the town of Scilla in Calabria. The Castle, situated on a headland overlooking the Strait of Messina, was used to defend the region against pirate attacks. The site houses a lighthouse built in 1913 by the Italian Navy.At various times this spot has been a fortress, a home, a monastery and a youth hostel.
Vicenza
Is a city in north-eastern Italy, in the Veneto region, at the northern base of the Monte Berico. Vicenza is a thriving and cosmopolitan city, with a rich history and culture, and many museums, art galleries, piazzas, villas, churches and elegant Renaissance palazzi. With the Palladian Villas of the Veneto and his renowned Teatro Olimpico, the "city of Palladio" has been enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994.
Jesolo
Is a town and commune in the province of Venice, Italy. Jesolo gives its name to a lagoon (22 km²) on the Adriatic Sea, between the rivers Sile and Piave.
Castel Sant'Angelo, Roma
It is also known as the Mausoleum of Hadrian because it was initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for him and his family. Later on, the building was used by the popes as a fortress and a castle and is now a museum. It was built between 135 AD and 139 AD.
Pescara
Is the capital city of the Province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Located on the Adriatic coast at the mouth of the Aterno-Pescara river, the present-day municipality was formed in 1926 joining the municipalities of Pescara and Castellamare Adriatico.
Piazza dei Miracoli - The Square of Miracles, Pisa
Is a wide, walled area at the heart of Pisa. It is dominated by four great religious edifices: The Duomo (cathedral), The Campanile (the cathedral's independent bell tower), The Baptisry and The Camposanto.
